The Dysfunctional Family Gathering returns for a day of BBQ'd Beats in rememberance of Dysfunctional Mike and in celebration of lasting friendships.

This event will take place on Sunday, July 24th in Summer 2011 at Baylands Park, Sunnyvale, in the Pickleweed Pavilion (opposite side of park from previous years).

The Lineup

Dragn'fly

(Strategik, Epiphany)

Dina (Drag'nfly) was the cool chick from Sacramento that would still make it out to our neck of the woods to party. She was an integral part of the mid-late '90s bay area underground. Her crew (along with Shane below), Epiphany, sprouted up in 1998 and threw a series of really fun balls-to-the-wall UG's.

Since then, she's matured into a popular DJ for the larger electronic music scene, now having made over 1,100 appearances in the United States, including Hawaii, and internationally including Mexico, Germany and Brazil. We're stoked than Dina has made the time to come down and play with her old friends again!

AndyW

(Have Special Power, ASR, Viberation)

AndyW is one of the originals in our south bay family. Living in the southbay during the mid-late 90's, he was always a part of our local family gatherings. Whether hanging at City E, hosting prop parties at his house, or push-starting his Suzuki Samurai down the road, AndyW remains one of our most colorful and treasured characters, and a core force of our family.

These days you may find AndyW with a guitar rather than turntables, and in a tavern rather than a warehouse. He's currently playing guitar in his psych rock indie band, Have Special Power.

Siphon

(Killasubz, Urban Assault, Viberation)

Noah aka Siphon is a long time member of our family. He's one of the original Viberation resident DJs, as well as a co-founder of jungle/drum and bass outfits Killasubz and Urban Assault with Hak and Das. After a short stint in Las Vegas and tearing up the scene there, Noah returned to the bay area. Now settled into the East Bay, if you don't find Noah on the decks or playing one of his many musical instruments, you'll find him either on his mountain bike or rock climbing.

Shane

(Ambient Mafia, Epiphany)

Shane is a race car diver. He likes to tinker with cars and make them go really fast. He can build battle bots. He also likes to do silly stuff like race in the 24 hours of lemons. He's helped throw a ridiculous amount of parties in his day. And he also plays out with the Ambient Mafia. He'll just be getting back from a European vacation before DFG so ask him about it, and let the funny stories ensue.

Jahsh

(Cloud Factory)

Josh is a great friend to our family, and an important part of organizing events over the last 15 years. From the early days of Harmony, all the way through the present with the Cloud Factory, he's worked in every aspect of planning and logistics, as well as playing music. Last year he gave a stellar performance competing in Iron Chef at OODE XIV in Oregon.

Terry Estioko

(Viberation, Cloud Factory, DFG)

Terry's better known as the visuals guy, as he's done visuals for hundreds of parties in the Bay Area over the last 15 years. He is also known for his contributions with Harmony, Cloud Factory, FnF, Moksha Tribe, SFRaves and his own Viberation parties. He has done visuals and video stage production for events including Skills, Opulent Temple, Evil Breaks, TEDx and many others. Lately he's been spending more time playing music, and enjoying juggling these 2 passions.
